Zoom Meetings Protocol

Class Meetings on Mondays and Fridays:

     a. There will be a waiting area where students will go when they sign in. This allows me to invite them in one at a time to avoid any strangers. PLEASE add your students name to the sign in so I can accept you from the waiting area. I don't want to allow in strangers, so this will help.

     b. The first few minutes will be unmuted as we congregate.

     c. I will conduct the meeting with students set to mute unless they are talking, to avoid chaotic interruptions. I will most often use the waffle screen so I can see as many people at once.

     d. Please remind your children that comments should be respectful to others. We want this experience to be a positive way to connect and bond with one another, therefore we will not be talking about specifics having to do with the Corona Virus. The new state mandate as of Monday at 2:00 is that no one should be interacting with others unless they are family or live in the same home. To avoid confusion for other students, please don't mention gatherings with friends.

Office Hours with Students:

      a. Most office hours will be offered through email, where I will be available to immediately read and respond to parent and student emails. I will also have at least one Zoom office time a week. There will be a waiting area where students will go when they sign in. This allows me to invite them in one at a time to avoid any strangers.

      b. Depending on how many students attend, I will more than likely have the sound unmuted so everyone can speak when they want to. If needed, I will mute all participants and unmute one at a time so questions and ideas can be shared.

Conferences with Parents:

      a. There will be a waiting area where parents will go when they sign in. This allows me to invite them in one at a time to avoid any strangers.

      b. All mics will be unmuted for ease of conference.
