Bristow Run Elementary School has again attained the coveted Recognized American School Counselor Association (ASCA) Program designation in 2016. This designation is good for five years.  Also known as RAMP, this designation proves that our school counseling department is top notch!  The application process is rigorous and proves that our BRES Counseling Department is making an exemplary commitment to providing a comprehensive and data-driven school counseling program.  RAMP applications are reviewed once a year by a national panel of school counseling professionals who assess a school counseling program in 12 different areas of program expertise.  More than 600 schools have been designated as RAMP since the program’s inception in 2004. Bristow Run has achieved RAMP status THREE TIMES!

Mrs.  Leischner previously attained RAMP at her former school, Potomac View Elementary, and has written articles for the national ASCA magazine about the RAMP process. She also worked with ASCA as part of the RAMP Review Committee for four years.
